The Scott County Board of Adjustment is seeking volunteers to fill a vacant Board position. The Scott County Board of Adjustment is the Zoning Appeals Board for unincorporated Scott County. The Board reviews and adjudicates requests for setback variances, conditional use permits and appeals of Planning Commission Director interpretations of the Zoning Ordinance. Board members are required to attend at least one monthly regularly scheduled meeting, (currently the 1st Thursday of the month at 5pm), and any special meetings called by the Board members, as needed. Members are required to maintain 8 hours of Board related training every 2 years. No special
qualifications are required. Board members receive a monthly stipend of $150. Board terms are four (4) years in length and members may serve two consecutive four (4) years terms.
