Transfer Station Household Waste Voucher Program

Program Overview: The Scott County Fiscal Court, in collaboration with the City of Georgetown and Rumpke Services, introduces the Transfer Station Household Waste Voucher Program. Designed to facilitate waste disposal for Scott County residents, this program grants access to the transfer station for household waste disposal. Residents can utilize the transfer station up to four (4) times annually during Rumpke business hours. Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM and Saturday 8AM-12PM

Eligibility and Usage:

  • Exclusive to Scott County residents possessing a valid driver’s license.
  • Each household is entitled to one voucher per day.
  • Vouchers are exclusively issued to Scott County residents.
  • The program is not applicable to contractors.
  • Residents must adhere to specified load sizes, limited to the bed of a pickup truck or a single axle trailer.
  • Certain items, such as heavy construction debris (e.g., shingles, concrete, and tires), may incur additional charges.
  • Prohibited items include liquids, hazardous materials, propane or gas cylinders, motor oil, and freon-containing appliances.
  • All loads must be adequately tarped to prevent litter during transportation.
  • Commercial loads and vehicles are strictly prohibited.

Online Voucher Program

Residents must create an online profile to access voucher numbers and monitor their usage. To redeem vouchers, present a valid ID and voucher number to the transfer station staff at the scale house during business hours.

Operational Year and Registration: The program’s operational year spans from July 1st to June 30th. When enrolling for the first time, select “Register as a new user” and proceed; then check your email for the auto-generated response required to finalize the registration process. Follow the provided prompts to generate your unique voucher number. This number remains associated with your household/residence for the duration of you owning the registered address. Each household/residence is eligible for one voucher only, and the voucher resets annually on July 1st.
