340.5 SCOTT FISCAL COURT ORDINANCE NO. 03-06 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE PROHIBITION OF JET SKIS AND PERSONAL W ATERCRAFT ON COUNTY GOVERNMENT PROPERTY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SCOTT COUNTY FISCAL COURT , COMMONWEAL TH OF KENTUCKY : It is hereby declared that the purpose of local government is to serve the people of Scott County to the best of its ability and to assure the safety, health and welfare of its citizens and to solve problems in a positive mood of accord. The Fiscal Court of Scott County , after due consideration, has determined that this purpose can best be met by the prohibition and absence of jet skis and/or personal watercraft on or upon the Scott County Parks property . NOW, THEREFORE, under the authority of KRS 67.080 and KRS 67.083 Scott County Fiscal Court hereby prohibits any and all jet skis and personal watercraft into, on or through the grounds of all county park property , whether owned, leased or controlled by the county government. Section 1. All park property of Scott County where jet skis and personal watercraft are prohibited shall be clearly marked and identified by signs posted at the entrance to the restricted area. Such signs shall be a minimum of eighteen (18) inches square and shall read as follows: "Jet skis and personal watercraft are prohibited from coming upon or through this park." Section 2. Any person or persons violating this Ordinance may be denied entrance to the park and/or a fine of not less than $25.00 and not more than $100.00.
