Special Work Session – June 11th, 2026

The Fiscal Court will have a special called work session on Thursday June 11th at 4:30 101 East Main Street, 3rd Floor Courtroom to allow for any Public Comment on the Proposed Zoning Text Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance regarding Accessory Dwelling Units and Cluster Subdivision Regulations.

To move forward with these text amendments, the following procedures must be followed: (1) Review by the Planning Commission; (2) Hold a Public Hearing (Hearing took place April 9th, 2026 with the Planning Commission); (3) Recommendations to the Fiscal Court; and (4) Adoption of the Planning Commission’s recommendations by a majority of a quorum of the members of the Fiscal Court.

A Fiscal Court may adopt the recommendations as submitted; reject them; or make reasonably related modifications before adoption. The Fiscal Court generally may amend a proposed text amendment before adoption, but if the changes are substantial enough to alter the proposal considered by the Planning Commission and the public, the amended version should be referred back to the Planning Commission and subjected to new notice and hearing procedures.
