Governor Beshear reported today
198 confirmed positive cases and 35 new cases since yesterday and that KY had its 5th death related to the Coronavirus, a 75 year old male from Jefferson County.
On the positive, the Governor announced an additional group of workers/business owners that have suffered loss due to the Coronavirus, are now eligible to apply for unemployment. I will share those categories tomorrow.
The Governor issued an additional Executive Order stating Only Life Sustaining Businesses May Remain Open. Grocery, Banks, Pet Stores, Construction, Home Repair, Ag Production, Gas Stations and Pharmacy all stay open. The official order is 7 pages and it is posted on the Governor’s web page. kycovid19.ky.gov
Stay at Home as much as possible and practice social distancing.
I visited one of our larger local grocery stores today during my lunch, it was well stocked with meat and essentials other than toilet paper. Only buy what you need. Our grocers continue to assure us that they are catching up with the spike in demand and will continue to be open. Shoppers were doing a great job of maintaining social distance.
We will get through this Together!
