2 30.2 9 6-004 A N ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A SICK LEAVE SHA RI NG PROGRAM W HEREAS , it is a valid reques t and desirable to provide a m ethod whereby County personnel can amongst themselves e ngage in the program and activity of sharing sick leave; a nd W HEREAS , and in order to prov ide for the orderly a dministration of county government in Scott County; and W HEREAS , this Ordinance seeks the general welfare by p roviding for the establishment and operation of a S cott C ounty Sick Leave Sharing Program; N OW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SCOT T CO UNTY F ISCAL COURT, KENTUCKY: S ECTION I. The Scott County Lea ve Shar ing Prog ram is h ereby created. ( A) An employee who has accrued a sick leave b alance of more than 80 hours may request that the D epartment or Agency for which the employee works make a vailable for transfer a specified amount of his or her sick l eave balance to another named employee authorized to r eceive said leave pursuant to this section. H owever, an employee may not request a transfer of an a mount of leave which would result in reducing his or her s ick l eave balance to less than 80 hours.
