220.01 SCOTT COUNTY, KENTUCKY ORDINANCE #07-01 AN ORDINANCE RELATED TO THE ANNUAL ADJUSTMENT OF SALARIES FOR THE ELECTED OFFICES OF MAGISTRA TE, CORONER AND COUNTY ATT ORNEY BASED ON THE CONSUMER PRICE INDEX WHEREAS, the Kentucky Revised Statutes authorize the annual adjustment of the salaries for the elected offices of Magistrate, Coroner and County Attorney by way of the Consumer Price Index; and WHEREAS, the annual adjustment has historically been done by vote and approval of the Scott Fiscal Court; and WHEREAS, said annual adjustment has already been incorporated in the current Administrative Code for Scott County , Kentucky; WHEREAS, it has now been suggested that the annual adjustment be authorized by separate Ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE SCOTT FISCAL COUR T FOR SCOTT COUNTY , KENTUCKY , AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The salaries of the elected offices of Magistrate, Coroner and County Attomey shall be adjusted annually by utilizing the Consumer Price Index available eac. year without further approval of this or any other political body . SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication. After publication according to law , the foregoing Ordinance was read for the first time Feb.22 2007, for the second time, adopted and approved on March 9, 2007 2007.
