230.5 ORDINANCE NO. 2009-01 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE AMENDMENT OF SCOTT COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 94-01 1, PREVIOUSL Y ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 26, 1994 WHICH GOVERNS THE SOUND AND EFFICIENT ADMINISTRA TION OF COUNTY GOVERNMENT IN SCOTT COUNTY AND DESIGNATED AS "ADMINISTRA TIVE CODE". WHEREAS , the County of Scott, by and through the Fiscal Court has previously adopted an "Administrative Code" on September 26, 1994; and WHEREAS , the "Administrative Code" was given No. 94-011 and adopted by Ordinance; and WHEREAS , & 3.3 (T) now requires additional language to clarify the inclement weather policy; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE FISCAL COURT OF SCOTT COUNTY , KENTUCKY , THAT ORDINANCE NO. 94-01 1 SHALL BE AND IS HEREBY AMENDED TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS: I. 8 3.3 (T) INCLEMENT WEA THER POLICY 1. In the event of weather conditions which may jeopardize employee safety in traveling to and from work, county offices may be closed at the direction of the County Judge/Executive or designee. Employees will be notified of this action. 2. When individual circumstances exist, such as longer than average distance of travel to and from the work place, the employee must notify their immediate supervisor , and may exercise personal judgment in not reporting for work. If county offices are not subsequently closed, the employee shallcharge the time to vacation leave or leave without pay . If county offices are closed, the employee shall be given the choice of charging the time to vacation leave, leave without pay , or working extra during the same pay period to make up the lost time.
