SCOTT FISCAL COURT ORDINANCE NO. 08-01 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE AMENDMENT OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO INCLUDE ST ANDARDS FOR FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT WHEREAS , the existing Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision and Development Regulations do not have adequate provision for Floodplain Management. WHEREAS , this proposed amendment to the Geor getown-Scott County Zoning Ordinance was approved by the Georgetown-Scott County Planning Commission after public hearing in accordance with KRS Chapter 100 and 424. NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE FISCAL COUR T OF SCOTT COUNTY , IN THE COMMONWEAL TH OF KENTUCKY , AS FOLLOWS: SECTION ONE: REPEAL OF EXISTING PROVISIONS : All previous Ordinances, Resolutions and Executive Orders, including but not limited to the Scott County Fiscal Court Ordinance 93-001, are hereby repealed. SECTION TWO: AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE : The Floodplain Management Ordinance provisions are enacted as an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance for Georgetown-Scott County . The new Floodplain Management Ordinance is added to the Zoning Ordinance as presented in Exhibit A, attached hereto. SECTION THREE: EFFECTIVE DATE : This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication. This Ordinance was introduced and read for the first time at a public meeting of the Fiscal Court of Scott County on March 14, 2008 , and for a second time and approved on March 27 , 2008.
